I really have never understood why some people make financial decisions before doing any form of research. I realize that I do a lot more research than the average person when making a decision that has any type of financial aspect, but I would still think that regular people would want to look at basic pieces of information before making a final decision. However, regardless of how I think things should be, that’s simply not how they work in real life.
Instead of making an informed decision, people like to make impulsive decisions. Although too many people do this, I want to encourage you to start making informed financial decisions (especially when it’s a larger scale decision). For example, the next time you are going to rent a car, don’t just open the phone book and make a reservation from the first company you find. Instead, you should use the power of the Internet to see what all is available. In a very short period of time, you can search the entire Internet from one website and find out what company is currently offering the lowest price on a rental car.
